01 / EXPERIENCE
Experience De-buff Party.
The study uses a four-player co-located MR prototype. The full study takes approximately 55–75 minutes, including a brief online survey, introduction, MR session, and guided group discussion. During the session, you will move through a series of social and collaborative activities while sharing the same physical environment with the other participants.

What will I do?
The study is designed as one continuous shared session rather than a set of isolated tasks.

STUDY DETAILS

- Murdoch University campus, Perth (in person)
- Group size
- 4 participants per session · 32 participants planned in total
- Equipment
- Meta Quest 3/3s
- Recording
- MR screen recordings will be captured during gameplay, and the group discussion will be audio recorded with your consent.
- Duration
- Approximately 55–75 minutes in total
- Participant appreciation
- Each participant who successfully completes the full study procedure will receive a $50 AUD gift card as a token of appreciation for their time and contribution. Please see the Information Letter for withdrawal details.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Key eligibility requirements from the approved study materials are listed below. Please read the Information Letter for full details before registering your interest.
- Aged 18–28 (Generation Z)
- Familiar with VR/MR or another digital environments
- Fluent enough in English to understand study instructions and take part in the group discussion
- Available in Perth and able to attend Murdoch University campus in person on a weekday
- No condition that may be negatively affected by immersive visual technologies
